As such, <br /> Electrical permit applications RECEIVED, DATE STAMPED before March 27, <br />2019 will be reviewed and enforced to the current 2008 NEC code. <br /> Electrical permit applications RECEIVED, DATE STAMPED on or after March <br />27, 2019 shall be designed, reviewed and enforced to the 2014 NEC code. <br /> <br />Per the Hawaii Revised Statutes H.R.S. 107-28(b), the adopted state energy code the <br />2015 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) effective date of March 31, <br />2017, shall become applicable as an interim county energy code should the county not <br />amend the state code within the two year time frame of effective date. As such, <br /> Building permit applications RECEIVED, DATE STAMPED before March 31, <br />2019 will be reviewed and enforced to the current 2006 IECC code. <br /> Building permit applications RECEIVED, DATE STAMPED on or after March 31, <br />2019 shall be designed, reviewed and enforced to the IECC 2015 code. <br /> <br /> <br />County of Hawai‘i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
