Next meeting schedule for May 31, 2019. <br />Luana will look at the room calendar to ensure we can continue with the <br />Committee on Aging meetings on the last Friday, every other month <br />and will send out an email for meeting dates through the rest of 2019. <br />11. OUTSTANDING OLDER AMERICANS MONTH CELEBRATION — <br />Theme: "Connect, Create, Contribute" - M. Keola Kenoi Okajima <br />Activity: Report to Committee on Aging by Keola Kenoi-Okajima, Aging Pro- <br />gram Planner, regarding the Hawai'i County Outstanding Older Americans <br />Award Luncheon <br />General Luncheon Information: <br />Older American Month theme is "Connect, Create, Contribute, May 2019": <br />Date of Luncheon: Friday May 3, 2019 <br />Location: Westin Hapuna Beach <br />Time: 10:30 AM — 1:30PM <br />Ticket cost: $25.00 — Tickets available at both the Hilo and Kona, <br />Hawai'i County Office of Aging (HCOA) offices <br />Transportation: Generous donations were from County Council Valerie T. <br />Poindexter from District 1, and County Council Rebecca Villegas from District <br />7. We were able to procure two large buses to transport approximately 100 <br />participants. <br />We also met with County Council Ashley Kierkiewicz recently in our office. <br />If any further assistance may become available, we may be able to offer possi- <br />ble Comp tickets. As it stands, tickets are $25.00 per person for those who <br />would like to attend the luncheon. <br />Nomination forms are available at our Hilo and Kona offices. For those who <br />may have an outstanding older senior they would like to nominate, please see <br />us for a form. <br />
