Since the park was damaged during Hurricane Lane, the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation (P&R) was required to submit plans for repairs to <br /> the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Once those plans were <br /> approved, P&R solicited bids for the work that needed to be done. <br /> After speaking with P&R, I do have some good news to share. The contract for <br /> the repairs has been completed and work on the playground equipment began on May <br /> 28, 2019.
