WIOA is designed to provide services to increase employment, <br /> retention and earnings of participants and increase occupational skill attainment by <br /> participants and, as a result, improve the quality of the workforce, reduce welfare <br /> dependency and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the Nation. <br /> The Hawai'i County Workforce Development Board's (HCWDB) mission is to <br /> promote the development of a highly competent and productive workforce by <br /> coordinating the efforts of educational institutions, labor, business, economic <br /> development organizations, government agencies and the entire community in order to <br /> sustain a strong economy and lifestyle. <br /> Your input and involvement is vital to the successful outcome of our employment <br /> and training system. Your contribution will help shape our economic outlook in Hawai'i <br /> County for years to come. <br />
