HAWAII COUNTY COMMITTEE ON AGING <br />LEGISLATIVE SUBCOMMITTEE REPORT <br />May 22, 2019 <br />As of this date, the following items followed by PABEA have been <br />enrolled/transmitted to the Governor: <br />• SB366 SD2 HD2 r/t health: to fund the ADRD Services Coordinator in EOA <br />• HB465 HD1 DS2 r/t aging: to fund Kupuna Care program <br />• SB1025 SD1 HD2 r/t KC Caregivers: to fund KC Caregivers Program <br />• HB468 HD1 SD2 r/t Healthy Aging Partnership: to fund HAP <br />• HB 471 HD1 SD1 CD1 r/t aging: establishes quorum requirements for PABEA <br />Notable items which did not make it this year: <br />• HB469 HD1 SD1 r/t hearing aids: requires health insurers to provide <br />coverage for the cost at a minimum of $1500 per hearing aid every 3 years <br />• SB1374 SD2 HD1 r/t Hawaii Retirement Savings Program: funds for <br />implementation study <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Shelly Ogata <br />
