BUSINESS: <br />3. Discussion and Action Regarding the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources <br />Preservation Commission (PONC) Subcommittee. Chair Young will lead a discussion <br />relating to the function and future of this subcommittee. After the discussion the Action <br />Committee may act to dissolve this Subcommittee. <br />4. Action Committee Engagement in the Kona Open Space Network (KOSN) Project. Chair <br />Young will lead a discussion among Action Committee members concerning how best for the <br />Action Committee to remain actively engaged in the KOSN as the project consultant is <br />engaged and work begins. Connections to the County's PONC program may also be a topic of <br />interest. Options for AC engagement likely to be considered include: 1) re-establishment of a <br />Kona Open Space Network Subcommittee; 2) establishing an Investigatory Committee; or 3) <br />designation of AC representatives to serve as liaisons with the County and consultant. <br />Following this discussion, the Action Committee may act to select the most appropriate <br />option. <br />5. All 1 Parkway Investigatory Subcommittee Report. Subcommittee Chair, Palacat-Nelson <br />will provide a final report of the Subcommittee's work and findings to the Action Committee. <br />The Action Committee may have a discussion on the topic following the report, and/ or, may <br />choose to vote on the dissolution of the Subcommittee. <br />6. Forwarding of the All I Parkway Investigatory Subcommittee Report to Government <br />Agencies. As a possible follow-up action, the Action Committee will discuss and decide (by <br />vote) if they want to forward the Ali'i Parkway Subcommittee Report to other governmental <br />agencies via the Planning Director. Agencies to be forwarded may include, but are not limited <br />to, the County Department of Public Works (DPW), and the State Department of <br />Transportation (DOT). <br />REPORTS and OTHER PRESENTATIONS: <br />7. The Draft General Plan Land Use in relation to the Kona Community Development Plan <br />(KCDP) Planning Area. Planner Morrison will provide information and lead a discussion on <br />proposed future land use designations within the Kona CDP Planning Area, how those <br />designations relate to the Kona CDP policies, and the public comments received on the <br />subject matter. <br />AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: Agenda item suggestions from the Action Committee and Planning <br />Staff for the next Action Committee meeting (January 14, 2020). <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />This agenda and all related documents can be viewed and downloaded from the following website, <br />http://www.hawaiicountvcdp.info/about-cdps under the respective CDP.
