F. Human Trafficking <br />• Mihaela received a response from Hawaii CC. They do not have <br />any students at this time who are interested in this project. <br />• Mihaela reached out to Julie Mowrer at UH Hilo. They might have <br />students who are interested in doing a video project on this topic. <br />• Committee discussed desired outcome for this project. <br />• Sub -committee will meet to discuss options and come back with a <br />plan for project execution in next fiscal year. <br />G. Equal Pay <br />• Today is Equal Pay Day based on use of 2018 salary data. <br />However, next Tuesday is the nationally recognized Equal Pay <br />Day, which traditionally falls on the second Tuesday of each month. <br />• Radio ads have not yet been recorded, but have been scripted. <br />• Jewel and Brooke have been in correspondence with Lisa and <br />Laney about how to get the ads paid. A portion will be paid by <br />County CSW. The other portion will be paid directly from the State <br />CSW. Lee Lord clarified with Deanna Sako that as long as County <br />CSW did not engage in any contracts with the radio station, it was <br />okay for the State CSW to pay the ads directly to the radio stations. <br />• The target is to get the ads to run on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. <br />• State CSW mailed Pay Day candy bars to Brooke. Farrah will print <br />the labels and deliver to Hawaii County Council members. <br />X. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. New Programs + New Projects — None <br />B. Update CSW Operating Guidelines <br />• Started review of the document, but was short on time. Everyone is <br />requested to review the document before the next meeting. <br />ACTION ITEM: Send recommendations to Mele. She will compile before meeting. <br />C. Form Nomination Committee for Elections <br />Mihaela motioned to nominate Farrah, Mele and Andrew as the <br />Nomination Committee for this year's election. Mele seconded. No <br />discussion. Motion approved. <br />XI. ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Brooke distributed a flyer from Alan for National Crime Victims Rights <br />Week. Please share with others. <br />XII. ADJOURNMENT <br />A. Mele motioned to adjourn the meeting. Mihaela seconded. No discussion. <br />Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 11:51 am. <br />B. Next meeting is on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 9:30am via video <br />conference in Hilo and Kona. <br />3 <br />
