VIII. REPORTS <br />A. Hawaii State CSW — last meeting was on January 29, 2019. At that time, <br />Cyd presented full request of $4,500. The commission was only able to <br />fund partial request of $1,250 for Equal Pay PSAs. They plan to approve <br />the remainder at their next meeting with date yet to be determined. <br />B. To help avoid time delays, HSCSW is willing to pay vendors directly. <br />C. Next NACW conference will be in Chicago, probably in July 2019. Cyd will <br />share exact details when they become available. <br />IX. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Teen Dating Violence <br />• Farrah distributed remainder of cell phone safety cards. This was <br />the last of the CSW's inventory of the cards. <br />B. Real Women Essay Contest <br />• RFP has been sent to Finance for approval, awaiting approval from <br />Finance <br />• Corporation Counsel Kamelamela has a lead with a radio station in <br />Hilo that would be willing to have winners read their essays. <br />• Brooke continues conversations with KNKR 96.1 "Women's Voices" <br />Radio Show to showcase Essay Contest Winners. <br />• Decisions about timeline for radio ads and content will be made <br />once luncheon date has been solidified. <br />• Essays were distributed to all members present. Essays will be <br />sent via email to members who were not present. Scores should be <br />emailed to Farrah by March 15. <br />C. Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Forum — No report <br />D. CSW Brochure — No report <br />E. Family Services Directory <br />• Update on distribution <br />o Kami distributed 50 to Hawaii Community Caregiver network <br />at Costco health fair <br />Farrah distributed remainder of Family Services Directories. This <br />was the last of the CSW's inventory of the 2018 Directories. <br />Farrah distributed copies of the updated 2019 Family Services <br />Directory. Changes include deleting Deaf Services and adding in <br />a section for Human Trafficking. <br />o Jewel moved to approve 2019 Family Services Directory, <br />Lee -Ann seconded.
