C. Budget Request for FY 2018 — If budget remains flat, all current estimates <br />can remain the same. If a 5% reduction is imposed, the entire amount will <br />be deducted from the Facility Expenses line item. This will result in a <br />reduction of $404 from $2,000 to $1,596. Deb motioned to approve the <br />Budget Request for FY 2018 and Brooke seconded. The Budget Request <br />for FY 2018 was approved. <br />V. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC — None <br />VI. CORRESPONDENCE — None <br />VII. REPORTS <br />A. State CSW Liaison — No report. <br />B. Report back from HIWLF Summit — Jessie shared her experiences from <br />attending the HIWLF Summit. At first, she felt overwhelmed by the number <br />of people in attendance. She reported meeting new people as she <br />networked. One of the workshops she enjoyed the most was the one on <br />Social Media. She also enjoyed visiting all of the vendors. She heard lots <br />of good feedback from other participants and like so many of them, she is <br />looking forward to next year's Summit. <br />C. County Budget Objective Report Update — Farrah shared that this report <br />needs to be submitted to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. We <br />should outline our objectives for the year and will be asked to report on the <br />status/progress in meeting those objectives at the end of the fiscal year. <br />The following objectives were identified: <br />Sponsor and coordinate an island -wide essay contest to increase <br />awareness among students on the accomplishments of women in <br />Hawaii County for Women's History Month. <br />2. Promote awareness of Equal Pay for Equal Work for women. <br />3. Participate in local and/or off -island meetings by sending at least one <br />representative to a statewide conference. The purpose of which will be <br />to share information with the Committee members on current <br />programs, legislation or issues that affect the status of women. <br />4. Update and disseminate the Urgent Services Directory for Families <br />across Hawaii County. <br />5. Promote Teen Dating Violence Prevention/Education. <br />2 <br />
