Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Forum <br />• Conversations in play about what CSW committee wants to do. <br />• Communication on next steps will be sent out soon. Also included <br />will be roles and responsibilities and commitments will be sought <br />from those who want to serve and participate. <br />D. CSW Brochure <br />CSW is calling for pictures from CSW. Send to Farrah over the next <br />two weeks so a draft brochure can be brought to the next meeting. <br />Action: CSW members to send pictures to Farrah in next two weeks. <br />E. Cell Phone Safety Cards <br />• Cyd has been handing out to schools (Hilo, Waiakea, Kau HS) and <br />outreach activities for Bay Clinic, Pride Parade, Youth Challenge <br />Career Fair, health classes and teen dating violence participants <br />are given cards. <br />Deb gave out 300 at health fair and ladies night out events. <br />F. Urgent Services Directory <br />• Lee -Ann gave 75 to West Hawaii Civic Center information desk. <br />• Urgent Services Directory can be printed out from website. <br />• HIWLF page has posted Urgent Services Directory on Facebook. <br />G. Human Trafficking <br />• Farrah and Brooke continuing conversation on human trafficking. <br />Brooke spoke with Hoola Na Pua (Jessica) and Polaris Project — <br />Hawaii is currently at an F. Shared Hope International. <br />• Main problem is on Oahu — 150 brothels — anywhere from 3-15 girls <br />living in brothel. <br />• Past legislation from Ige's administration introduced a bill. <br />• CSW should discuss whether we want to partner and in what ways <br />would we partner? What are our options? Is it advertising to support <br />an event already in place by another organization? Another <br />consideration is to partner with schools by asking administrators to <br />identify top 3 teachers to attend the training to learn what the signs, <br />behaviors and activities are to look for. <br />• Dr. George Rhodes from UH Hilo was initiating training. <br />• Melody Stone has also started training via Hawaii Island Coalition <br />against Human Trafficking. Potential activity for Brooke and Lee - <br />Ann to attend since being involved with NACW. <br />• CSW can also become more active in supporting bills. <br />3 <br />
