Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels) clients <br />must be 60 years and older, and be homebound due to illness or disability. <br /> <br />SUMMARY OF SERVICES: <br />Provides low cost, nutritionally balanced meals to seniors living in Hawai‘i County. In addition, the <br />Congregate Meals program provides other supportive services, including educational, health, and leisure <br />activities. Transportation may also be provided in select districts. <br /> <br />SERVICES OFFERED: <br />The Nutrition Program consists of two separate services: Congregate Meals and Home Delivered Meals <br />(Meals on Wheels). Both services provide lunch Monday through Friday (in most districts), to persons 60 <br />years and older. The suggested contribution per congregate meal is $2.50; the suggested contribution per <br />home delivered meal is $2.50.
