NOMURA: The Appellants will share their <br />5 <br />experiences of an interview panel which disregarded the <br />6 <br />Employer's own established policy, procedures, and <br />7 <br />guidelines of recruitment. They will share their <br />8 <br />interview panel composition that was directly in <br />9 <br />conflict with established guidelines, and the questions <br />10 <br />did not address the experience needed to perform at the <br />11 <br />Investigator VI level. <br />12 <br />This appeal reveals that the recruitment <br />13 <br />examination process for the Investigator VI vacancy <br />14 <br />failed to provide recognition of significant past <br />15 <br />experience of each of these employees. They possessed <br />16 <br />experience as Investigators IV and V, working in the <br />17 <br />same office, in the same series of classes, as the <br />18 <br />vacant position. There was a total disregard of their <br />19 <br />work experience as current investigators, which <br />20 <br />provided them the best possible qualification to <br />21 <br />perform the job at the VI level. <br />22 <br />Each of the Appellants has significant <br />23 <br />service time as investigators in this series or in <br />24 <br />another jurisdiction in a related series; yet, the <br />25 <br />recruitment process does not credit any of the <br /> <br />ISLAND COURT REPORTING & TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES <br />(808) 933-9800 <br /> <br />
