WIOA is designed to provide services to increase employment, <br /> retention and earnings of participants and increase occupational skill attainment by <br /> participants and, as a result, improve the quality of the workforce, reduce welfare <br /> dependency and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the Nation. <br /> The Hawaii County Workforce Development Board's (HCWDB) mission is to promote <br /> the development of a highly competent and productive workforce by coordinating the <br /> efforts of educational institutions, labor, business, economic development organizations, <br /> government agencies and the entire community in order to sustain a strong economy <br /> and lifestyle. <br /> Your input and involvement is vital to the successful outcome of our employment and <br /> training system.
