Due to a staff shortage, the Glenwood Transfer Station <br />closed at 8:00 a.m. today, December 31, 2019. It is scheduled to reopen on Friday, <br />January 3, 2020, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Until 6:00 p.m. today, residents can take their <br />household generated waste to the Keaʻau Transfer Station, which is open seven days a <br />week from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or to the Hilo Transfer Station, which is open seven days <br />a week from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Pāhoa Transfer Station.
