Hawaii Game Management Advisory Commission Meeting <br />Minutes – October 29, 2019 <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: September 10, 2019 <br /> <br />NP: Teresa Nakama moved for approval of the September 10, 2019 meeting <br />minutes as submitted. Seconded by James O’Keefe and carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL REPORT: <br /> <br />NP: George Donev moved for approval of the October 31, 2019 financial <br />report as submitted. Seconded by George Donev and carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS: <br /> <br />NP; We will accept statements from the public now and/or anytime during the <br />meeting. Anyone have a comment at this time from the public? We’ll move <br />on to our presentation. Mark Crivello – 3C Goat Grazing. <br /> <br />MC: Good evening everybody. My name is Mark Crivello with 3C Goat Grazing – <br />just came up tonight to thank you guys all for doing a wonderful job – you <br />guys are all doing a great job – would like to thank the County of Hawaii for <br />giving 3C Goat Grazing opportunities on grazing lands they have – looks like <br />we’re moving forward with eliminating herbicides and doing more <br />environmentally friendly \[unclear\] so I want to thank everybody for the <br />opportunities and seeing what our animals are capable of and as we go on – <br />hopeful 3C Goat Grazing’s animals will get to prove that even our wildlife are <br />capable of doing the same type of work that we do in a large scale. <br /> <br />MC: That’s what I wanted to share with you guys – everybody’s doing a wonderful <br />job – I thank everybody for the support and the help everybody’s been giving <br />me and our company so thank you guys so much and thank you guys out <br />there in Kona too. <br /> <br />NP Thank you. <br /> <br /> Goats and sheep used in land management – it’s up and coming – it’s <br />happening all across the nation – more and more for wildfire control – in <br />Spain – goats are called fire fighters – that’s their name. So it’s not just here, <br />so, um, without anymore to do, I would like to welcome up for our first <br />presentation we have Maurice Messina, thank you so much, from Parks & <br />Rec who’s gonna come and share with us – apparently in this month – I’m <br />sure you’re gonna talk about it – Bill 101 has been going through the County <br />to 90% discontinue use of herbicide for land management – I’ll let you <br />continue… <br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
