8. ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br /> Chair Bennett made the following announcements: <br /> <br />• The January meeting will include the election of chair and vice chair. <br /> <br />• He acknowledged the service of Commissioner James Fritz, who could not be <br />present at today’s meeting. His term ends in December, and with the EMC’s <br />approval he will draft a thank you letter to send Mr. Fritz, who did not want to be <br />held over for 90 days. <br /> <br />• He welcomed Melissa Cardwell, their newest commissioner, to the team. He <br />thanked her for her knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm to jump in. <br /> <br />• There is no meeting in December. <br /> <br />9.
