Incident: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for Sunday, February 16 at 10:00 AM <br /> This is a Civil Defense message. <br /> This is a Coronavirus, also referred to as COVID-19, informational update for Sunday, <br /> February 16 at 10:00 in the morning. <br /> The Department of Health confirms that there are NO cases of COVID-19 reported in <br /> Hawaii at this time. <br /> The following Department of Transportation policies remain in effect: <br /> • The U.S. Department of State continues to advise U.S. citizens to not travel to <br /> China. <br /> • The only individuals allowed into the U.S. from China are U.S. citizens and will <br /> undergo a mandatory quarantine. <br /> As previously reported, the Department of Health continues to gather facts and <br /> interview individuals related to the Japanese visitor that was confirmed to have COVID- <br /> 19. The Department of Health confirms that the individual did not travel to Hawaii <br /> Island. At this time, no individuals with prolonged close contact have been identified <br /> in Hawaii. The Department of Health, along with state, federal, and international <br /> partners, continues to investigate this case. <br /> AS A REMINDER: <br /> There are no specific antiviral treatments or vaccines to prevent COVID-19. The best <br /> way to prevent any respiratory illness, including the flu and COVID-19, is to practice <br /> everyday preventive actions. For a complete list of all recommended preventive <br /> measures, please visit the Department of Health website. <br /> Additionally, your help is needed to prevent rumors about COVID-19. Make sure your <br /> information is up-to-date and comes from a credible source. Misinformation can do so <br /> much harm.
