CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY <br />ILTA 1411Y IIJ7_ <br />Incident: Wind Advisory for Hawaii Island <br />Rev. May 6, 2019 <br />Date: February 18, 2020 <br />Time: 10:30am <br />Frequency: 2 hours <br />Update #: 1 <br />This is a Civil Defense Wind Advisory message for Tuesday at 10:30 in the morning. <br />The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Hawaii Island for North <br />and South Kohala, Hamakua, Hilo, Puna and Kau Districts through Thursday including <br />areas exposed to downslope winds such as North and South Kohala and Kau. <br />A Wind Advisory means sustained winds of at least 30 MPH or gusts of at least 50 MPH <br />are expected from the Northeast direction. <br />Due to the Wind Advisory, please take the following precautions; <br />• Secure outdoor items such as tents and outdoor furniture. <br />• Motorist, especially those in high profile vehicles, are urged to drive with caution. <br />• Be aware of downed trees, utility disruptions, and that road closures may occur <br />without notice. <br />• Please stay clear of downed utility lines and report to authorities. <br />Stay tuned to your radio for updates and changes in conditions. <br />Thank you for listening. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />..:.... ..i.%�c�.�a. �..:.g. v.. -..a <br />
