Goals: The stated goals are: <br /> • (Industrial) Designate and allocate industrial areas in <br /> appropriate proportions and in keeping with the social, cultural, <br /> and physical environments of the County. <br /> • (Industrial) Promote and encourage the rehabilitation of <br /> industrial areas that are serviced by basic community facilities <br /> and utilities. <br /> • (Commercial) Provide for commercial developments that <br /> maximize convenience to users. <br /> • (Commercial) Provide commercial developments that <br /> complement the overall pattern of transportation and land usage <br /> within the island's regions, communities, and neighborhoods. <br /> b. Policies: The stated policies are: <br /> • (Industrial) Industrial-commercial mixed-use districts shall be <br /> provided in appropriate locations. <br /> • (Industrial) Locate industrial areas convenient to transportation <br /> facilities and provide a variety of industrial zoned districts and lot <br /> sizes, depending on the needs of the industries and the <br /> communities. <br /> • (Commercial) Distribution of commercial areas shall meet the <br /> demands of neighborhood, community and regional needs. <br /> c.
