CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY <br />MEDIA UPDATE <br />Incident: Coronavirus -19 Update Message <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />Date: February 21, 2020 <br />Time: 9:00 am <br />Frequency: Every 3 hours <br />Update #: 1 <br />This is a Coronavirus -19 informational update for Friday, February 21 at 9:00 in the morning. <br />The Department of Health confirms that there are NO cases of Coronavirus -19 reported in <br />Hawaii at this time. <br />The following transportation policies are in effect: <br />• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued precautions for traveling to Japan <br />and Hong Kong. <br />• The U.S. Department of State continues to advise U.S. citizens to not travel to China. <br />• The U.S. temporary entry ban of foreign nationals who have traveled to China in the last <br />14 days remains in effect. <br />• And, isolation/quarantine policies for U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from China also <br />remain in effect. <br />There are No Department of Health Advisories to the general public at this time. <br />AS A REMINDER: <br />The DOH reminds the public that there are no specific antiviral treatments or vaccines to <br />prevent Coronavirus -19. The best way to prevent any respiratory illness including the flu and <br />Coronavirus -19 is to practice everyday preventive actions that include: <br />• Stay home when you are sick <br />• Avoid close contact with people who are sick <br />Additionally, your help is needed to prevent rumors about Coronavirus -19. Make sure your <br />information is up-to-date and comes from a credible source.
