<br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />This is a Coronavirus informational update for Sunday morning, March 29th at 8:00. <br /> <br />On the coronavirus status: <br />The number of active cases for Hawaii Island is 6. These 6 individuals are quarantined <br />at home and are being monitored by the Department of Health. At this date for Hawaii <br />Island, no one infected by this virus had to be hospitalized. The total number of people <br />tested positive for Hawaii Island is 11, with 5 recovered and cleared by the Department <br />of Health. <br /> <br />As a reminder the State’s Proclamation of “Stay at Home” is in effect and will remain <br />th <br />until April 30. This proclamation identifies what activities are prohibited outside of <br />home or place of residence and what is allowed. Please call Civil Defense at 935-0031 <br />for any clarification on this proclamation. <br /> <br />A big mahalo for all merchants and community to keep Hawaii Safe. Please practice <br />everyday measures of prevention and most important keep yourself physically and <br />emotionally healthy. <br /> <br />Do know under the “Stay at Home” proclamation outdoor exercise activities including <br />ocean activities such as surfing and swimming are permitted. As long as social <br />distancing requirements and gatherings of no more than 10 people are maintained. <br /> <br />Thank you very much for listening, have a blessed day and please be well. <br /> <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense. <br />. <br />
