<br />PSA re Coronavirus for 9:00 am on Sunday, March 29 <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />This is a coronavirus information update for Sunday morning, March 29 at 9am. <br />On the coronavirus status: The number of active cases for Hawaii Island is 6. These 6 <br />individuals are quarantined at home and are being monitored by the Department of Health. At <br />this date for Hawaii Island no one infected by this virus had to be hospitalized. The total number <br />of people tested positive for Hawaii Island is 11 with 5 recovered and cleared by the Department <br />of Health. <br />As a reminder, the States proclamation of “Stay at Home” is in effect and will remain until April <br />th <br />30. This proclamation identifies what activities are prohibited outside the home or place of <br />residence and what is allowed. Please call Civil Defense at 935-0031 for any clarification on this <br />proclamation. <br />A big mahalo for all the actions taken by merchants and community to keep Hawaii safe. Please <br />practice everyday measures of prevention and most importantly keep yourself physically and <br />emotionally healthy. Do know that under the “stay at home proclamation” outdoor exercise <br />activities such as surfing and swimming are permitted as long as social distancing requirements <br />and gatherings of no more than 10 people are maintained. <br />As a reminder drive up coronavirus testing is offered today, Sunday in Hilo at the Civil <br />Auditorium from 8am to 3pm. <br />Thank you for listening. <br />Have a blessed day and be well. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency <br /> <br />
