<br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />th <br />This is a Coronavirus informational update for Sunday morning, April 5. <br />On the COVID-19 status, the total number of people tested positive for Hawaii Island remains at <br />25. Of this, 15 have recovered and cleared by the Department of Health. The remaining 10 are <br />quarantined at home and are being monitored by the Department of Health. At this date, for <br />Hawaii Island, no one infected by the virus had to be hospitalized. <br />Be reminded that drive-through screening and testing will be conducted in Hilo at the Hilo Civic <br />th <br />Center Parking Lot, today Sunday, April 5is that day, from 8 this morning until 3 this <br />afternoon. It is free and doctors will be on site conducting screening and testing. It is very well <br />organized and supervised ensuring all the precautions of social distancing. Again, hours are 8 <br />this morning until 3 this afternoon at the Hilo Civil Center parking lot. <br />A huge thank you to all conducting this service. <br />th <br />The Department of Health reports that results of the test conducted in Kona on March 28 at <br />the Kona Airport shows all 167 tested, cleared, and free of the COVID-19 Virus. Thank you so <br />very much! <br />To keep Hawaii safe your help, do your part to prevent the spread of this virus. We expect all <br />who take care of us to always be there. Do your part by following the policies of stay at home, <br />social distancing, gatherings and good health. <br />Thank you for listening.
