<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: April 23, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 8:30 AM <br /> Radio Frequency: Each Hour <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday morning, April 23rd. <br />On today’s report of COVID-19, the total number of people who tested positive for <br />Hawaii Island is 66. This increase of 3 from yesterday is related to the fast food cluster. <br />From this total of 66, 38 have been cleared as recovered and the remaining 28 are <br />quarantined at home and monitored by the Department of Health. At this date for <br />Hawaii Island, no one had to be hospitalized. <br />The Department of Health is continuing the investigation of the fast food cluster incident <br />and based on their findings thus far, believe that this outbreak does not pose a threat to <br />the general public. <br />For your information, drive-through testing will be conducted today in Kona at the <br />Keauhou shopping center from 8 this morning till 12 noon. Know that early testing <br />means early detection and early care. Thank you, Ali’i Health, Hawaii Army National <br />Guard, and the Hawaii County Task Force for conducting this service.
