<br />This is a Civil Defense Message. <br />th <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Saturday morning, April 25. <br />On today’s report on COVID-19 the total number of people who tested positive for Hawaii Island is 68. <br />From this, 40 have been cleared as recovered with 27 quarantined at home, and one adult male <br />hospitalized at the Kona Community Hospital. <br />For your information, drive through testing will be conducted today in North Kohala at the Kamehameha <br />th <br />Park from 9:00 this morning until 1:00 this afternoon. On Sunday, April 26, testing will be conducted in <br />Hilo at the Hilo Civil Center from 9:00 in the morning until 1:00 in the afternoon. Thank you, Premier <br />Medical Group, Hawaii National Guard, and the County Task Force for doing this for the community. <br />A gracious mahalo to all who contributed to the availability of 200,000 surgical facemasks free to those <br />most in need on Hawaii Island. Everyone Hawaii, a non-profit founded by Duane Kurisu, for the <br />purchase of the masks; Hawaiian Airlines for transporting the masks from China to Hawaii State; The <br />National Guard for distributing to all the islands; and Vibrant Hawaii for circulating the masks to more <br />than 50 charitable organizations on this island. <br />Thank you, People of Hawaii, for who you are, a community together at a very difficult time. <br />Thank you for listening, have a safe weekend. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense. <br />
