CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: May 7, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />Fri T13 EVITIFTAIN <br />Radio Frequency: Each Hour <br />Update #: 1 <br />This is a COVID-19 information update for Thursday morning, May 7th <br />On today's report of COVID-19 the total number of people who tested positive for <br />Hawaii Island remains at 74. From this, 72 have been cleared as recovered with the <br />remaining 2 quarantined at home and monitored by the Department of Health. At this <br />date, for Hawaii Island no one is hospitalized. <br />For your information, a drive thru testing will be conducted in South Kona today at the <br />Keauhou Shopping Center. Hours are from 8 this morning till 12 noon. Thank you, Ali'i <br />Health for conducting this free service and Hawaii Army National Guard and County <br />Task Force for assisting. <br />A food drop off will be held today in South Kohala at the Waimea District Park. Hours <br />are 10 this morning till 12 noon. Thank you, Hawaii Food Basket and the multitude of <br />people and organizations that make this very needed service possible. Thank you, <br />Hawaii County Police, the Hawaii Army National Guard and Sheriff department for <br />helping. <br />Know that all the policies of distancing, gatherings, face coverings, cleanliness, and <br />personal health remains in effect. Your help is needed to keep Hawaii Safe. Hawaii <br />Island and State of Hawaii are doing very well in minimizing the spread and the impact <br />of the coronavirus.
