<br />th <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Friday morning, May 8. <br />On today’s report on COVID-19 the total number of people who tested positive for Hawaii <br />Island is 74. From this, 72 have been cleared as recovered with the remaining 2 quarantined at <br />home and monitored by the Department of Health. At this date, for Hawaii Island no one is <br />hospitalized. <br />For your information, a drive through testing will be conducted in South Kohala today at the <br />Waimea District Park. Hours are from 9:00 this morning until 1:00 this afternoon. An Added <br />antibody testing will be offered with a charge. Please check with your insurance provider if this <br />will be covered. The basic test remains free. Thank you Premier Medical Group, Hope Services, <br />National Guard, and the County Task Force for helping. <br />Know that all the policies of distancing, gathering, face covering, cleanliness, and personal <br />health remains in effect.
