<br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I 2020-2024 CONSOLIDATED PLAN (CP) and <br />Action Plan (AP) <br />WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN <br />DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />The Hawai`i County Council has approved the County of Hawai`i’s <br />2020-2024 Consolidated Plan (CP) and 2020 Action Plan (AP) for <br />the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships <br />(HOME) and the National Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Programs with <br />the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and <br />has authorized the Mayor to execute and submit its Annual 2020 <br />Action Plan to HUD for the CDBG program. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM <br /> <br />The County of Hawai`i anticipates that the County’s total 2020 <br />CDBG allocation is $2,626,423.00. In addition, the County also <br />anticipates receiving $100,000.00 of additional program income <br />from the Residential Emergency Repair Program for a total <br />$2,726,423.00 of CDBG monies. To meet the County’s five (5) year <br />CP Priorities and Objectives, the following projects will be <br />included in the 2020 Action Plan. <br /> <br />2020 CDBG Projects Amount <br /> <br />Mental Health Kokua – Facility Sewer Connection $ 220,000.00 <br />Kiheipua Emergency Shelter – Certified Kitchen $ 388,175.00 <br /> Construction <br />Kaiaulu O’ Waikoloa Rental Housing – Off Site $ 800,000.00 <br /> Infrastructure Improvements <br />Hale Maluhia Emergency Shelter – Accessibility $ 561,015.00 <br /> Improvements <br />Residential Repair- Homeowner Loan Program $ 231,949.00 <br />Administration, Planning & Fair Housing $ 525,284.00 <br /> Total $2,726,423.00 <br /> <br />The CDBG project amount for all projects may change to <br />accommodate the actual amount of grant funds or program income <br />received or if there are any cancelled project(s) or <br />reprogramming of CDBG funds. <br /> <br />PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD <br /> <br />The Final 2020-2024 CP/AP will be available for public review <br />from May 11, 2020 to May 15, 2020 on the County of Hawai`i’s <br />2020 Public Notice #3 1 5/10/20 <br /> <br /> <br />
