Are there any changes to your report? <br />Bender: None. <br />Onizuka: Can one of you describe the business, please? <br />Bender: Basically, it's a small craft brewery. We have a small tasting room inside <br />where people can come and sample. We're canning the beer, as well as kegging it for <br />the local market. We launched it into the market in December, and basically now, <br />finding good reception. When people come in and ask if they can buy a pint of beer, we <br />have to say 'no, cannot.' We'd like to be able to have this type 18 license so we can <br />offer that to people when they come by. It's small, but nevertheless, it would help us <br />from an economic standpoint because it's quite difficult to compete in this "package <br />goods" business. That's what we're doing. We've renovated the brewery and installed <br />a lot of new equipment based on Sebastian's understanding of what was necessary <br />because we were old. That has been very helpful in terms of coordinating all of this. <br />We have people that installed some new conveyors of some sort, and we're small and <br />efficient and we want to make Hilo proud of what we're doing. <br />Onizuka: Thank you. Do we have any public testimony on this application? <br />There was no public testimony. <br />Onizuka: Seeing none, Commissioners, discussion, questions? <br />There was no discussion or questions from the Commissioners. <br />Onizuka: Call for a motion. <br />Greenwell: I make the motion to approve Application No. 19-26, if approved public <br />hearing to be held May 7, 2020, in Hilo. <br />Raymond: Second. <br />Mr. Greenwell moved to approve Application No. 19-26, <br />Pacific Aqua Beverages, LLC, dba Hilo Brewing Company, <br />for a change in class to a Class 18 Small Craft Producer <br />Pub liquor license, Category A, and a change in Trade Name <br />from Hilo Brewing & Beverages to Hilo Brewing Company, <br />located at 275 East Kawili Street, Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-2-050:006; <br />if approved, public hearing to be held on May 7, 2020, in Hilo; <br />seconded by Ms. Raymond. <br />Onizuka: Moved and seconded that we approve Application No. 19-26, public hearing <br />to be held on May 7, 2020, in Hilo.
