<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: May 15, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 8:30 AM <br /> Radio Frequency: Each Hour <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />th <br />This is a COVID-19 information update for Friday morning, May 15. <br />For your information, the Department of Health reports that for Hawaii Island today, that <br />there are no new cases reported and all previously 75 tested positive cases have been <br />cleared as recovered. <br />To all the health care organizations and supporting agencies, thank you, for your good <br />work of planning and developing an island wide system of testing for the safety of the <br />Hawaiian Island Community. Testing will continue, and is needed to help develop a <br />comprehensive database for health officials to stay on top of things so they can respond <br />timely and appropriately. <br />For your information, drive-thru testing will be held in South Kohala today at the Waimea <br />District Park. Hours are from 9 this morning to one this afternoon. Thank you, Premier <br />Medical and supporting agencies, for providing this free service. <br />A food-drop off will be held today in Puna at the Pahoa Community Center. Hours are <br />from 10 this morning till 12 noon. Thank you, Hawaii Food Basket and their many <br />contributors for this service and the police, Hawaii National Guard, and the State <br />Sheriffs for helping. <br />Please know how important it is to continue following the policies of prevention. The <br />coronavirus is out there, and we need to work together to keep Hawaii safe. Thank you <br />for doing your part. <br />Thank you for listening and a huge acknowledgment to all the police officers on this <br />National Law Enforcement Week and the deepest of gratitude and remembrance on this <br />Peace Officer’s Memorial Day. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense. <br />
