CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: June 2, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />Time: 08:30 AM <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br />Update #: 1 <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Tuesday, June 2nd <br />On today's report of COVID-19, the number of active cases for Hawaii Island stands at <br />zero. An active case is defined as an individual who has tested positive for the COVID- <br />19 virus and is being monitored by the Department of Health. This format, reporting <br />only active cases status, will be used in the daily update. <br />For your information, an Ohana Food Service is scheduled for today in Puna at the <br />Keaau High School. Hours are from 10:00 this morning `til 12:00 noon. Thank you <br />Hawaii Food Basket and all the contributors for making this possible and the Hawaii <br />National Guard, Hawaii Police, and State Sheriffs for helping. <br />The Island and State have done very well in minimizing the spread of Coronavirus. This <br />has allowed Hawaii to go forward and has been identified by the Johns Hopkins <br />University as tied with Montana for the lowest per capita infection rate in the Nation. <br />Ongoing forward, know that the virus threat remains and we need to continue to follow <br />the prevention policies of face coverings, distancing, and gatherings.
