<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: June 12, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 08:30 AM <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />th <br />This is a COVID-19 update for Friday, June 12. <br />On today’s report of COVID-19, the number of active cases for Hawaii Island, reported by the <br />Department of Health, stands at zero. <br />For your information, a drive through testing is scheduled for today in South Kohala at the <br />Queens’ Marketplace in Waikoloa. Hours are from 11:00 in the morning ‘til 1:00 in the <br />afternoon. Thank you S&G Labs for providing this free service. <br />The Island and State of Hawaii have done very well in minimizing the spread of the <br />Coronavirus. Your efforts and good work of prevention have placed Hawaii State as the top in <br />the Nation for the lowest per capita infection rate. A grateful thank you to the community of <br />Hawaii for doing your part to keep Hawaii safe. <br />In going forward, know the virus threat remains and we must continue to follow the preventive <br />policies of distancing, gatherings, face coverings, cleanliness, and keeping yourself physically <br />and emotionally healthy. <br />Thank you for listening.
