Status of the U.S. Supreme Court decision on the Maui permit requirements. <br /> <br />SOLID WASTE DIVISION PROJECTS AND UPDATES <br /> <br />1. OPERATIONS <br />On 05/01/20, new Transfer Station Facility Rules were implemented. Banners have <br />been put up at the facilities and notices were posted at Solid Waste sites between <br />March 15 and March 31. These changes include a 3-cubic-yard-per-day limitation for <br />refuse at all sites, a disposal limit on appliances to one item per vehicle per day, and <br />new hours of operation (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) for access to recycling containers (Scrap <br />Metal, 2-Bin Recycling, etc.). SWD did not implement changes to transfer stations for <br />greenwaste due to the COVID-19 pandemic. <br /> <br />SWD discontinued the collection of scrap metal, white goods, and greenwaste at the <br />transfer stations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. SWD is attempting to reinstate <br /> <br />
