The applicants respectfully request the following elements be <br /> allowed in the Special Permit <br /> 1) Proposed hours of operation: <br /> As this is a residential community, operations will be 24 hours a <br /> day, seven days a week. Quiet hours will be in effect from 10 <br /> PM to 7 AM. <br /> 2) Proposed number of visitors per day: <br /> The applicant expects 10 to 20 visitors per day. <br /> 3) Proposed number of parking stalls: <br /> Four parking stalls plus 1 ADA compliant parking stall are <br /> planned for the community. <br /> 4) Proposed staff: <br /> One full-time and two part-time staff are anticipated. <br /> 5) All structures on the property will be renovated and any <br /> deficiencies brought up to code with proper permits <br /> The renovation of all buildings is anticipated be done by July 2020. <br /> The estimated cost of renovations is approximately $450,000. <br /> Figure 5 shows an aerial view of the four main buildings (excluding <br /> the ohana/caregiver home), with planned new roofing. <br /> The elder care center would provide residents with meals and <br /> transportation to activities and appointments, along with emergency <br /> call systems and social programs for families. The site will also host <br /> fruit and vegetable plots for hobby gardening and fresh produce. <br /> This area is not served by a County sewer system and the parcel is <br /> currently served by cesspools. Upgrades to the wastewater <br /> systems on the property will be designed by a licensed engineer in <br /> the State of Hawaii meeting Department of Health requirements. <br /> Locations of existing cesspools and proposed septic systems are <br /> shown on the conceptual site plan (Figure 2). <br /> 3B. PROJECT LOCATION <br /> As noted earlier. the subject site consists of the entire 1.143-acre <br /> parcel identified by TMK: (3) 2-4-078: 008. The property is located <br /> off of Ainalako Road, approximately .8 miles northwest of Ainaola <br /> Drive, in Waiakea (Figure 1). <br />
