CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: June 30, 2020
MEDIA UPDATE Time: 08:00 AM
Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours
Update #: 1
Incident: Coronavirus Update
This is a Civil Defense message.
th
This is a COVID-19 informational update for Tuesday, June 30.
On today’s update of COVID-19, the number of active cases monitored by the
Department of Health, on Hawaii Island, stands at three. An active case is defined as
an individual who has tested positive for the Coronavirus and is presently monitored by
the Department of Health. At this date, no one is hospitalized for Hawaii Island.
For your information, an `ohana food service is scheduled for today in Kau at the Kau
District Gym in Pahala. Distribution begins at 10:00 am. Thank you Hawaii Food
Basket and their contributors for providing this service and the Hawaii National Guard,
Sherriff’s Department, and County Task Force for helping.
The majority of states in our country are continuing to see an increase of large numbers
of people being infected by the Coronavirus. This is also reflected in the increase of
people being admitted to hospitals and intensive care units. Hawaii remains in a very
good place because of your following preventive measures. We must continue in
following the policies to keep Hawaii safe. This is a community issue and it needs your
help to keep it safe. Wear your face coverings to help keep you and others safe.
Thank you for listening and thank you for doing your part.
This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency.
