CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: July 1, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />Uri IT -3 FINVITITTANTA <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br />Update #: 1 <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Wednesday, July 1St <br />On today's update of COVID-19, the number of active cases monitored by the <br />Department of Health, on Hawaii Island, is three. At this date, one is hospitalized. <br />For your information, an 'ohana food service is scheduled for today in Hilo at the Afook- <br />Chinen Civic Auditorium. Distribution begins at 10:00 am. Thank you Hawaii Food <br />Basket and their contributors for providing this service and the Hawaii National Guard, <br />Sherriff's Department, and County Task Force for helping. <br />As reported, the majority of states in our country are continuing to see an increase of <br />large numbers of people being infected by the Coronavirus. Hawaii remains in a very <br />good place because of your care of following preventive measures. You are asked to <br />continue and even get better in following the health policies of keeping Hawaii safe. <br />This is a community issue and we need your help. Follow the preventive measures of <br />face coverings, distancing, gatherings, and cleanliness. It is all of our responsibility to <br />keep Hawaii safe. <br />Thank you for listening and thank you for doing your part to protect our community. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />
