No. 53.3: Charter Amendment Proposal Summaries as revised per <br />the recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee, which was established to <br />develop Charter Amendment Proposal summaries and ballot questions, <br />propose consolidation of Charter Amendment Proposals, and propose <br />renumbering of Charter Amendment Proposals for sequential ordering; as <br />submitted by Chair Adams. <br />REPORTS <br />1. Comm. No. 53.2: Report and Recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee <br />established to develop Charter Amendment Proposal summaries and ballot <br />questions, propose consolidation of Charter Amendment Proposals, and <br />propose renumbering of Charter Amendment Proposals for sequential <br />ordering; as submitted by Chair Adams. <br />(Note: The Charter Commission will not deliberate or take action on the <br />Report and Recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee during this meeting of <br />July 10, 2020, pursuant to Hawai `i Revised Statutes Section 92-2.5(b), which <br />requires that deliberation and decision making on the matter investigated may <br />only occur at a duly noticed meeting held subsequent to the meeting at which <br />the findings and recommendations were presented to the full membership of <br />the board or commission. The Charter Commission anticipates discussion and <br />decision making on the recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee to occur <br />during a Special Meeting on July 24, 2020.) <br />REFERRALS FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />Discussion and review of Executive Session minutes of August 8, 2019. The <br />Commission anticipates a motion and vote to approve the executive session <br />minutes during open session. <br />The Charter Commission anticipates convening an executive meeting regarding the above <br />matters, pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(4) of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, for the purpose <br />of consulting with the Commission's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the <br />Commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A two-thirds vote of <br />the members present is necessary to hold an executive meeting; provided the affirmative <br />vote constitutes a majority of the members to which the board is entitled, pursuant to <br />Section 92-4 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Rule I(d) of the 2018-2020 Hawaii <br />County Charter Commission Rules of Procedure. <br />AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING <br />1.
