<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: July 13, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 05:00 PM <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />This is a Covid-19 informational update for Monday afternoon at 5:00 pm. <br />On this afternoon’s Covid-19 update Kona Community Hospital has confirmed that on Friday an <br />employee was tested positive for Covid-19. The Hospital is in the process of contact tracing to <br />identify anyone that may have been in contact with the staff member. No additional employees <br />have been tested positive. In addition the State Department of Health is supporting the <br />hospital’s care and management of the affected employee and precautions to protect patients <br />and staff. <br />We are reminded of the importance to protect ourselves by following the everyday precautions <br />of wearing face coverings, maintaining distances, gatherings and cleanliness.
