<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: July 21, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 08:00 AM <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />th <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Tuesday, July 21. <br />On today’s update of COVID-19, the number of active cases, monitored by the <br />Department of Health, for Hawaii Island is seven with one new case identified as travel <br />related. Of this, one remains hospitalized. <br />th <br />For your information, the July 16 test results for Kona Community Hospital had one <br />positive case out of 548 persons tested. An additional 108 Kona Community Hospital <br />th <br />family and hospital contacts were tested on July 18 with negative results for all tests. <br />A total of 447 people from hospital staff and the community were retested yesterday as <br />part of a testing plan. Results are pending. Thank you Kona Community Hospital for <br />taking the steps to keep us safe and to the Premier Medical Group, Hawaii National <br />Guard and County Task Force for making this possible. <br />These results are only possible because you take the responsibility to practice <br />preventive measures of face coverings, distancing, gatherings, and cleanliness <br />seriously. Thank you for your hard work.
