tf(7 <br />r1.57 --(=±"-C <br />1 <br />FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br />PROGRAM (FSSI <br />Have you been laid -off, furloughed, work less, or lost earnings <br />due to COVID-19? Now is the best time to inquire about the <br />FSS Program! This program enables HUD -assisted families to <br />increase earned income and reduce dependency on welfare <br />assistance and rental subsidies. <br />Receive one-on-one support <br />A Program Coordinator will assist you in creating a plan to reach your goals. <br />Some of the services coordinated through the program to enable you to <br />reach your goals include: <br />child-care, transportation, education, job training, employment counseling, <br />financial literacy, and homeownership counseling, among others. <br />Save your rent increases <br />While participating in a rental subsidy program, when your income goes up, <br />so does your rent. This can make building a savings difficult, if not <br />impossible. However, if you are eligible to participate in the FSS Program, <br />any increases in the family's rent as a result of increased earned income <br />during the family's participation in the program result in a credit to the <br />family's escrow account.
