8 <br />Goal Name <br />Homeless - Rehabilitation <br />Goal <br />The Non-profit, HOPE Services Inc., will utilize CDBG funds to continue the renovation improvements of its men's shelter, <br />Description <br />for roof replacement and for accessibility improvements. <br />The Non-profit, HOPE Services Inc., will also utilize CDBG funds to continue the renovation improvements to its family <br />shelter. These renovations include but are not limited to the construction of a certified kitchen. <br />The Office of Housing and Community Development will utilize CDBG funds to design and construct necessary <br />improvements at the West Hawai) Emergency Shelter in Kona. These improvements include but are not limited to, fire <br />suppression sprikler systems, security lighting and fencing, installation of solar water heaters, photovoltaic panels and an <br />accessible water fountain. <br />9 <br />Goal Name <br />Infrastructure - Construction <br />Goal <br />Description <br />10 <br />Goal Name <br />Public Health and Safety <br />Goal <br />The County will be distributing $1,293,000 of CDBG-CV funding to 3 non-profit service providers to purchase and <br />Description <br />distribute food and meals to low and moderate income persons throughout the County. This activity is eligible under the <br />waiver of the 15% public service activity and the amount of people and households served will be determined after the <br />service is completed and reported by the non-profits. The County is also allocating CDBG-CV funds to a non-profit <br />provider to provide emergency and rental assistance to low and moderate income households impacted by the Covid- <br />19.
