<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: September 3, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 08:00 AM <br />Radio Frequency: Every Hour <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />rd <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday morning, September 3. <br />On today’s update of COVID-19, the number of active cases, on Hawaii Island, reported <br />and monitored by the Department of Health is two hundred and nineteen (219). There <br />are Thirty-five (35) new cases of Coronavirus on Hawaii Island. All individuals <br />associated with a gathering at Milolii have been identified and contacted by the <br />Department of Health. All positive cases from this cluster are now isolated and being <br />monitored by the Department of Health. The investigation of this cluster is ongoing. At <br />this date, for Hawaii Island, eight (8) are hospitalized and four deaths have been <br />reported. All four are from the Yukio Okutsu Veteran’s Home. The Country thanks you <br />for your service. <br />For your information, an `Ohana food service is scheduled today in South Kohala at the <br />Waimea District Park. Distribution begins at 10:00 this morning. A Coronavirus test is <br />scheduled today in Puna at the Keaau High School. Hours are from 9:00 this morning <br />‘til 1:00 this afternoon. <br />We need everybody to be responsible and follow the preventive policies of face <br />coverings, distancing, and gatherings. With your help, we can stop the spread of the <br />virus to keep your family, friends, and neighbors safe. <br />Thank you for listening and please take care. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />
