Hawaii Police Commission <br />Meeting Agenda <br />September 18, 2020 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />(CLOSED SESSION) <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />The commission will meet in executive session to consider charges against officers or <br />employees of the police department where matters affecting privacy will be involved, to <br />work on the evaluation of the Police Chief, to consider sensitive matters relating to <br />public safety, and may consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues <br />pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities <br />pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawaii County Charter Section 13-20 (b). <br />CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF COMPLAINTS (Briefly summarized.) <br />• Complaint HPC 20-23: Complainant and her client were in court and during a <br />recess, an officer arrested her client for another case. She alleged that the arrest <br />should have been done after the trial had concluded. <br />• Complaint HPC 20-24: Complainant was involved in a traffic stop. She alleged that <br />the officer was discourteous and threatened her. <br />Complaint HPC 20-26: Complainant was issued a no trespass notice by a hotel, and <br />the police were called.
