CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: September 12, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />Time: 12:00 PM <br />Radio Frequency: Every Hour <br />Update #: 2 <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Saturday at noon, September 12tH <br />On today's update of COVID-19, the number of new active cases, on Hawaii Island, <br />reported and monitored by the Department of Health is ten (10). At this date, for Hawaii <br />Island, seventeen (17) are hospitalized. The Hilo Medical Center reports a total of <br />eleven deaths, with one additional Covid related with underlying health conditions not <br />associated with the Veterans Home who passed on Tuesday. Condolences from the <br />Island's Community go out to the families. <br />For your information, the County of Hawaii is sponsoring multiple Coronavirus test sites <br />throughout the coming week. Please check our daily updates for locations and times. <br />Mahalo to everyone that tested today in Hilo and Milolii. <br />Remember the purpose of testing is to identify positive cases as early as possible and <br />in this way help stop the spread of the virus. The cooperation and participation by <br />residents throughout the island has been tremendous.
