Mayor's Fourth Supplementary Emergency Proclamation for COVID-19

WHEREAS, on April 1, 2020, the Mayor of the County of Hawaii issued the Third Supplementary Emergency Proclamation issuing further orders for response to COVID-19; and WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Hawaii has issued 16 Emergency Proclamations related to the Covid-19 Emergency as of November 23, 2020; and WHEREAS, the Mayor of the County of Hawaii has issued, relative to COVID-19, three prior Emergency Proclamations, 12 Emergency Rules and five Amendments to those Rules as of November 23, 2020; and WHEREAS, the number of persons being infected by COVID-19 globally and in the United States, the State of Hawaii and the County of Hawaii continue to perpetuate and increase at alarming rates; and WHEREAS, due to the possibility of imminent emergency or disaster due to bodily injury to residents of Hawaii Island, and the need for government agencies and representatives from the private sector to mobilize and provide financial and other immediate services to our island residents, a state of emergency is authorized pursuant to Chapter 127A Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Chapter 7, Hawaii County Code. NOW, THEREFORE, I, HARRY KIM, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, do hereby proclaim and declare that a state of emergency continues to exist due to the imminent danger or threat of emergency on the Hawaii Island from the COVID-19 pandemic. This Fourth Supplementary Emergency Proclamation is effective immediately and shall continue through December 31, 2020 or until further act by this office.
