THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> In the Matter of <br /> Proposed Amendments to the CERTIFICATE OF RESULTS <br /> Hawaii County Charter <br /> CERTIFICATE OF RESULTS <br /> In compliance with section I1-156, Hawai'i Revised Statutes, 1, Jon Henricks, <br /> County Clerk, County of Hawaii, in the capacity of the chief election officer of the <br /> County pursuant to section 3-6(b)(3) of the Hawaii County Charter, do hereby certify <br /> that sixteen proposed amendments to the Hawaii County Charter were submitted to the <br /> voters of the County of Hawaii on November 3, 2020. 1 hereby further certify that <br /> fourteen of the sixteen proposed amendments were duty approved by a majority of voters <br /> voting on said amendments: <br /> Proposal RELATING TO TECHNICAL, LINGUISTIC, AND GRAMMATICAL <br /> REVISIONS OF THE CHARTER: Shall the Charter of the County of <br /> Hawaii be amended by making various technical, linguistic, and <br /> grammatical revisions throughout the Charter? <br /> Voters voting "YES" 57,606 <br /> Voters voting "NO" 18,497 <br /> Proposal RELATING TO COUNCIL MEETING LOCATIONS: Shall the Charter <br /> of the County of Hawaii be amended to require that the Hawaii County <br /> Council hold an equal number of its regularly scheduled meetings in East <br /> Hawaii and West Hawaii? <br /> Voters voting "YES" 68,392 <br /> Voters voting "NO" 11,349 <br />
