<br />RULE NO. 7 <br />AD HOC COMMITTEES <br />1. Establishment. The Chairperson of the Council or a Standing Committee, in accordance <br />with these rules and the law, may establish an ad hoc committee as needed for the purpose <br />of investigating a matter relating to the official business of the Council or Standing <br />Committee, or to present, discuss, or negotiate any position which the Council or Standing <br />Committee has adopted. <br />2.Membership. The Chairperson of the Council or Standing Committeeshall assign at least <br />two (2) members, but no more than four (4) as members of an ad hoc committee. <br />cope. Findings and Recommendations. All findings and reports of the ad hoc committee shall be <br />presented to the Council or Standing Committee that formed the ad hoc committee during a <br />duly noticed meeting. <br />5. Deliberation and Decision-Making Prohibited. Deliberation and decision-making on a <br />matter investigated, if any, must occur only at a duly noticed meeting of the Council or <br />Standing Committee held subsequent to the meeting at which the findings and <br />recommendations of the investigation were presented to the board. <br />6. Other. In all other matters, the ad hoc committee shall conduct its business in accordance <br />with these rules and the law. <br />7-1 <br /> <br />
