"Government agency" means a county department or agency, and any of the <br /> boards, or commissions of such department/agency. <br /> "Individual with a disability who is qualified" means an individual with an <br /> impairment that substantially limits a major life activity related to mobility who <br /> either possesses a valid disability parking permit and identification card issued to <br /> the individual or is an employee who can justify a need for a reasonable <br /> accommodation with respect to parking as provided in the Procedures for <br /> Providing Reasonable Accommodation to Individuals with Disabilities. <br /> "Mayoral appointee" means an individual appointed by the Mayor to a position <br /> in a government agency. <br /> "Metered stall" means a public parking stall regulated by a parking meter with <br /> fees as determined by the Finance Director. See Schedule A for the rate <br /> schedule. <br /> "Motor vehicle" means a mode of transportation that shall include but not be <br /> limited to automobiles, trucks, vans, and motorcycles. <br /> "Multi-function program manager" means a division head in a government <br /> agency: <br /> a) who manages more than one (1) program function and has supervisory <br /> responsibilities over three or more employees; <br /> b) manages a program function that affects all government agencies; or <br /> c) is rated EM-05 or higher. <br /> "Parking control officer" means the employee(s) or independent contractor <br /> designated by the Director of Public Works to enforce the provisions of these <br /> regulations. <br /> "Parking designations": <br /> a) "Designated parking" means a specifically marked parking space which is <br /> assigned to an eligible employee who is a department head, deputy <br /> department head, secretary to a department head, other mayoral <br /> appointee, or multi-function program manager. <br /> b) "Floating parking" means a specific area of the parking facility that is <br /> unassigned, but designated for use by an employee of a government <br /> agency. <br /> c) "Loading Zone parking" means an area of space in a parking facility that is <br /> used for a short period to park vehicles to load or unload, or for <br /> maintenance vehicles of the county. <br /> d) "Reserved parking" means a specifically marked parking space, which is <br /> assigned to an eligible employee. <br /> 4of16 <br />
