HCC students helped to weed out the kalo garden. <br />Hilo and Puna residents helped to tend to the section where vetiver is planted. <br />Vetiver is planted on this hill to help protect against erosion in addition to cleaning <br />the soil. A few abandoned vehicles were removed from this area prior to planting <br />the vetiver. <br />
