A DMINISTRATION §2-10A <br />Article 3A. Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. <br />Section 2-10A. Appointment of personnel. <br />There shall be an office of the prosecuting attorney as provided by Charter. The <br />prosecuting attorney may appoint deputy prosecuting attorneys and necessary staff, <br />including investigators. The investigators shall have all of the powers and privileges of <br />a police officer for the County of Hawai‘i. The office of the prosecuting attorney shall <br />adopt policies and standards for training and use of these powers consistent and in <br />conformance with those adopted by the Hawai‘i County police department. All <br />investigations relating to the discharge of a firearm by an investigator shall be <br />conducted by the Hawai‘i County police department. All investigators must have the <br />minimum qualifications for the class as established by the department of human <br />resources. <br />(1992, ord 92-105, sec 1; am 2009, ord 09-105, sec 4.)2-10A <br />Article 4. Department of Finance. <br />Section 2-11. Issuance of warrants. <br />(a) Any person entitled to a warrant upon the County treasury may file a written order <br />for the same with the director of finance authorizing the person named in the order <br />to receipt the warrant. When so receipted, signed in the name of the claimant by <br />the person named in the order so that both names appear upon the receipt, the <br />director of finance may deliver the warrant to the person named in the order. <br />(b) In like manner as provided in subsection (a), an order may be filed with the <br />treasurer covering the presentation and payment of the warrants. The orders may <br />cover all warrants issued or to be issued to the person signing the same during the <br />year in which the order is dated but not later. The orders may be renewed from <br />year to year. <br />(c) With reference to warrants addressed under this part, the controller may, with the <br />approval of the director of finance, issue checks drawn from, or make electronic <br />funds transfers from, depositories of County treasury moneys in lieu of warrants <br />drawn from the County treasury and may accept remittance by electronic funds <br />transfer or credit or debit card pursuant to standards established by the director of <br />finance. <br />(1983 CC, c 2, art 4, sec 2-11; am 2003, ord 03-101, sec 1.)2-11 <br />Section 2-12.
